Anahit Gundubegian Isikbay

I was born in Yerevan, Armenia. I got my childhood musical training at number 13 music school in Yerevan. When I was fifteen, my family and I moved to Los Angeles, CA where I attended Marshal high school and continued taking music lessons at Mandakumian music school.

In 1987 I received my bachelor’s from UCLA, B.S. in Cybernetics. In 1993 I moved to Oregon with my husband and two children. In 1997 I received my Master’s in Business from University of Portland, M.B.A and in 2001 received my Master’s in Education from Pacific University, M.A.T. with specializing in Math and Science education. For 21 years I taught in the Beaverton School District.

For the last 32 yrs I’ve been our church organist in Oregon. Also, for many years I was a teacher in our Armenian Community of Oregon (ACO) Saturday School. In prior years, I also have been the chairperson of Hovhannes Tumanyan School board.

Ծնվել եմ Երևանում։ Հաճախել եմ Երևանի 13-րդ երաժշտական դպրոցը։ Տասնհինգ տարեկան հասակմ ընտանիքիս հետ տեղափոխվել եմ Լոս Անջելես։ Հաճախել եմ Մարշալ Հայսկուլ և երաժշտական կրթությունս շարունակել եմ Մանդակումյանի անվան դպրոցում։ 1987թ. ավարտել եմ UCLA համալսարանի կիբեռնետիկայի բաժինը, B.S. 1993 թ. Ամուսնուս և ﬔր երկու երեխաների հետ հաստատվել եմ Օրեգոնում։ 1997թ. Ավարտել եմ UP համալսարանի M.B.A. բաժինը և 2001թ. ավարտել եմ Pacific University համալսարանի M.A.T. մանկավարժական բաժինը, մաթեմատիկայի և գիտական առարկաների ուսուցման գծով։ 21 տարի մանկավարժ եմ եղել Բիվերտոն Սկուլ Դիստրիկտում։

32 տարի է Օրեգոնի համայնքի եկեղեցվո եուրգեհոնահարն եմ։ Նաև երկար տարիներ եղել էմ հայկական շաբաթօրյա դպրոցի ուսուցչուհի, դասավանդել եմ հայոց լեզու և երգեցողթյուն։ Վեց տարի նաև եղել եմ հայկական դպրոցի խորհրդական կազﬕ ատենապետուհի։
